Jason and Lisa McEwen started McEwen’s Media after spending years in the corporate world. They wanted to start a company that offered quality media without the corporate nonsense. And so began McEwen’s Media.
Jason started his video production career in 1999 after getting his degree from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh. Since that time, he has crisscrossed the country making everything from 30-second commercials to corporate how-to videos. He made a point to learn every position there is in video production. From directing to shooting, there isn’t an aspect of production he doesn’t understand.
Lisa started her journalism career under the big lights of broadcast television. She worked at three television stations, covering everything from Hurricane Katrina to state fairs. She made the switch from TV news to online journalism several years ago and found her niche as a writer. She holds both an undergraduate degree in communications from Plattsburgh State University and a graduate degree from St. Cloud State University.
In 2006, the two met at a television station near Minneapolis, Minnesota. As the only two native New Yorkers in a crowd of hot-dish-loving Midwesterners, Jason and Lisa hit it off and got married in 2010. The frigid temperatures became too much for the duo, so they packed up everything they owned, including their 70-pound bulldog, Gracie, and moved to Key West, Florida.
